It may not be her 60th birthday, but Sandie Shaw - the barefoot, be-fringed '60s songstress - is quite simply one of the best pop people ever invented. This bright and brash version of an old Lloyd Cole song ('Looking like a born again / Living like a heretic') sounds not unlike the Pretenders with its spangling guitars and quavering vocal, and is also quite simply wonderful.
